Guest guest
Hi Suzi I have tension headaches from time to time infact today, when I got up I realized I had a tightness about my head which usually means I didn,t sleep well or slept in a bad way meaning my head probably was to one side to much. I asked a woman today about this at my exercise class and she said that her chiroprator recommends a special foam pillow with a conture that rises toward the top and gently recedes in the neck area. She sleeps right in the center of this pillow and said her neck is just fine now because of the pillow, he said to get rid of it after a year because the foam is no longer as good and worn out? she pays for a new one yearly for $50 bucks. what do you think about this? thanks Rita > > Effective Natural Treatments for Tension Headaches >

Guest guest
Thanks everyone for the pillow tips. I will have to inquire about the water pillow, it sounds interesting and I wondered that if you were to sleep with it fluffed or brought up on the sides to cover the ears if it would be sound proof?? I hate noises and wear ear plugs also. looking for something to muffle the noises or cut down the sound of cars going by which is pretty busy in the early mornings ;-) > > You can find these pillows all over... and yes they do work but you have to get used to it... it took me awhile.. but once you get used
Guest guest
I used several of the foam type from Chiro for about 5 or 6 years and they worked great, but i got tired of paying for them. A few years ago i switched to buckwheat hull. I position the pillow so that my head is in a cradle like position just like the foam or water type. And when the hulls get old, i can buy new ones and replace myself for like $3.! I think part of the key is that in addition to keeping your head from rolling around, they also dont allow for your shoulders to really be on the pillow in such a way that it pushes your chin toward your chest and helps your neck to maintain its natural curve. Now if i can just remember to use my nightgaurd every night...I'd be set LOL!
