Hello,

I am relatively new though I was lurking for a the time I've been on

here. Was on Wellpeople since the beginning.

I am WAY past menopause and got through that and the accompanying hot

flashes <though they were few and

far between> with the aid of Wild Yam cream.

About 3 weeks ago I awakened clammy and damp. Thought nothing of it,

just thought maybe turned the

thermostat up in the night. I too sleep with a fan on. The next two

mornings were the same.

The doctor seems to think it is not hormonal <how could it not be?>

and wants me to have a stress test and check

my heart. <this because my LDL is high and she's more focused on

that, I know>. Eat flax every day 2 x a day

in yogurt, will try the cottage cheese.

So, has anyone ever had these things recur after 12 years of

dormancy? Any thoughts of what else it might be?

She said my thyroid is fine <I know a GP is the last person to be

checking that> and my sugar has been normal/low

all my life. I checked it the mornings I awakened damp and it was

never lower than 98.

This comes and goes, the one and only thing I recently added to my

diet with regularity is blueberries! And that

makes no sense to me.....anyone?

Thanks

Bonnie

Welcome Bonnie!

It could be the blueberries as they contain Vitamin E which could be working on your hot flashes.

What is a weed? A plant whose virtues have not yet been discovered.
