IN OUNCES 2:2:1:.5 SHEA BUTTER, MANGO BUTTER, AVOCADO BUTTER, (HALF OUNCE) JOJOBA. I PUT THIS IN A PYREX MEASRUING CUP THEN IN THE MICROWAVE FOR 3 MIN @ 50% POWER STIRRING AFTER 1 MINUTE. SWEET CAKES HAS A NATURAL STRAWBERRY FLAVOR SOMETHING THIS GREAT CAN STAND ALONE THE ROSE FLAVOR OIL IS NICE IN THIS TOO. Guest guest
They only have the avocado oil. The two places I've seen avocado butter is FNWL and Essential Wholesale. Guest guest
I couldn't find a website for the butter, but I did find a recipe for avocado butter. What do you think? Ingredients: Vegetable glycerin, olive oil, oat protein, avocado oil, orange oil, lanolin, sweet almond oil, water, vitamin E, nettle extract, rosemary extract and fragrance (99.25% Natural) ttfn, Peggy All Things Pure wrote: > > They only have the avocado oil. Guest guest
This is very confusing to me... : ) Are you saying you found a recipe for avacado butter? The 99.25% Natural, leads me to believe that this is the ingredients for a Burt's Bees product. They always have the percentage of natural ingredients. But I don't think that's what was being discussed. Someone (sorry I don't remember who) was looking to buy actual avocado butter. There are lots of food recipes for avocado butter also, but I'm pretty sure they're not the same thing. Here is a link I found that has a little information about all the different butters we soapmakers use.. http://www.biochemica.com/butters.htm HTH, Raelyn > I couldn't find a website for the butter, but I did find > a recipe for avocado butter. > What do you think? > > Ingredients: Vegetable glycerin, olive oil, oat protein, avocado oil, > orange oil, lanolin, sweet almond oil, water, vitamin E, nettle extract, > rosemary extract and fragrance (99.25% Natural) > > ttfn, > Peggy _________________________________________________________

Guest guest
I actually found the recipe on a soap making website a while back, can't remember where. But it wasn't a food recipe, there are a lot of those btw. Anyway, I thought the avocado butter was like the shea butter, but haven't been able to locate anything else on A. butter. (not a B.Bees product...but maybe a good idea to contact them and see where they get there a.butter.) Guest guest
Anyone know anything about this? I got some to use in making some moisturizer. So far I've only gotten as far as mixing it with coconut oil and smooshing it into an empty chapstick container for lip balm. Very nice. I have tried mixing it with squalene oil made from olives for my face. It feels good, but I'm wondering if it is clogging my pores as I'm getting a zit here and there. Don't know if it's me or it. Any comments would be appreciated. Shari
