Guest guest
Ya know it was odd... when I first started drinking superfood drinks I would gag my way through them, they tasted TERRIBLE! Now I crave them. Talk about an acquired taste! The thing about those is they're SO filling .... I take the effort to juice the fruit and then mix it all in the blender and then after 2 chugs OOOOEEEY I'M FULL!!! Seems like a waste of time but I'll keep trying. Guest guest
Well it was 2 big scoops of superfood, apple juice, carrot juice, a frozen banana, and flax seed. Sometimes I'd throw a tbsp of olive oil. That Superfood is definitely NOT the norm for what tastes good...... when I first got it I compared it to drinking stale polluted river water. :-P The smell wasn't much better. Now I kind of like the smell too. Not sure if you're aware of what Superfood is.... just dawned on me.... Botanical Ingredients: Spirulina Algae, Blue-Green Algae, Chlorella Broken-Cell Algae, Barley, Alfalfa and Wheat Grasses, Purple Dulse Seaweed, Acerola Cherry, Rose Hips, Palm Fruit, Lemon and Orange Peels, Beet Root, Spinach Leaf, in a base of Dr. Schulze’s Proprietary Non-Fermentable Saccharomyces Cervisiae Yeast. Guest guest
My husband had trouble with flax seed in that it made his stomach hurt. He couldn't describe it as anything but a pain in the stomach. Maybe back off on that for a while and see if things improve. Just my 2 cents. Guest guest
Cascara sagrada (sp?) will help the intestines move. It is not " just a laxative " , it will help support the intestines so they can function. Guest guest
I'm really wanting to know what vitamin C has to do with #2.... my family/friends think its abnormal how often I crave it. I could drink an entire large jug of OJ a day (watered down!) and then go for the lemonade. Its like I'm always craving it. My favorite drink ever..... orange juice mixed with lemon juice mixed with lots of water. Hmmm Candace > My husband had trouble with flax seed in that it made his stomach hurt. Guest guest
I just had an aha moment...... Dr. Schulze's Formula #3....... I think that has the save effect as Formula #1 but without the cayenne. Why did I never think of this before??? Guest guest
I remembered earlier today that a friend of mine from CO had a sister in law that had stomach failure so I got his number from a friend and text him asking what they ended up doing about it? "They cut out her pancreas. That didn't help, it made it worse" Now she has a machine that pumps insulin into her body for her. Aha. Well that's not helpful info at all. But now I know what they'll probably recommend for my stomach. Not in this lifetime! Lots of people find "regularity" via this method (and its in the bowel formula)Aloe is fairly gentle by itself, and soothing too. So maybe this would be a good method to try.But s post made me think of something else.... Candace have you tried to find a Naturopath nearby? if you are going to get a second opinion, this would surely be the way to go versus standard "Dr".I just love that "CUT EM UP" mentality! when i think of it, all i can think is that i might have been able to have more children a fews years back and i get MAD!Syl> > > > > vit c... what a GREAT idea! never thot of using a supplement in that> useful way. Guest guest
I upped it from 2 bottles of water a day to 3.... its a start! Stomach is upset so I had a few scoops of applesauce today (and my 3 bottles of water). My water consumption is going up..... gradually. Right now 3 bottles seems like a lot.
