I sent this out to my friends as well and one of them sent this back. Makes me think.......................

"Jefferson is someone I admire. Unfortunately his quotes are being used like the bible. Interpreted and cherry picked to justify any side of a question. This one would be used to jusity what group's rights come ahead of others. As in, 'I'm more American than you'. "

Surprised me because he thinks the closest to us as anyone we know.

I don't understand the 'I'm more American than you' part, but I think I

understand where he's coming from.

Personal freedom, it is said extends only to the tip of your nose.

Personal freedoms become limited when combining people in groups. The

only true freedom is anarchy.

This is not to say anarchy is better, I am only pointing out fact.

Majority rules leaves out the minority every time, and the majority

often is the largest lobbyist with the most financial clout; which is

why we can not use our insurance to cover alternative medicine such as

herbal preparations and treatments.

Ironically it is often a minority of eligible votes cast of which the

majority of them wins the decision.
