Guest guest
I find it interesting how there are certain herbs that can zero in on any specific part of the body for a " cleansing. " Do we know how it affects other parts of the body - side-effects similar to how drugs have side-effects? How do we know what state our organs are in? How can we find out? My current understanding and exploration is in the idea of whole foods curing progressively - in the same way we have progressively eaten all that junk in the past to put us in whatever (bad? /average) health condition we may be in today. I'd love to know how we can accurately gauge the condition/state of our organs in terms of toxicity and efficiency. thots?Kelvin On Tue, Jun 23, 2009 at 3:52 AM, <deuteronomy2929@...> wrote: Hey Cheryl, I still take Milk Thistle for my liver. I capsule my own and take a couple in the morning, a couple around noon-ish, and at least one at night. When I first had my liver problems, I mega-dosed on it, at least doubling it, for several months. I also used a liver bolstering tea that is in the Files Section of the group's home site. Here's a quick run-down of the recipe....... The Liver Tea recipe is as follows5 parts Burdock root5 parts Dandelion root3 parts Oregon Grape root2 parts Licorice root2 parts Orange peel2 parts Ginger root2 parts Milk Thistle It can be used as a tea, or capsules. I have done both with equal success. Whichever method I use, I always pulverize it first in a coffee grinder to completely mix the ingredients. The capsules are easier on the palate, however. This stuff tastes awful!!! Hope this helps. Peace, love, laughter
