Guest guest
HI DIANA, yes, you can. I have had it. One treatment and it never comes back. Even the P T who did it for me was in total awe of it. She did not understand it, except for what was printed on her sheet. We had to believe it, because it worked! Marge He lives! That's what I thought I said y. The physical therapy is less painful with pain meds. By the time I got home after a week I weaned my self off. The pain wasn't too bad anymore. I needed meds in the hospital, in rehab and for about a week when I got home. Now I have some kind of positional vertigo that's annoying me. I heard from the lab person who drew my blood today that people can get physical therapy for that! If it doesn't get better soon, I'm going to a specialist. One doc said it was viral. I never knew you can have physical therapy for positional vertigo. Guest guest
Hi Marge, The woman who I was talking too said the therapy didn't help her too much but she is learning to live with the vertigo. I guess it works on different people. > > In a message dated 9/8/2004 11:05:08 AM Central Standard Time, > > celestialsecrets@y... writes: > > After that it's not > > bad at all except when you're doing the physical therapy, but if > you > > have the pain medication, it's not painful. I guess it works on different people.I sure would love to talk to her and learn what they did and how they did it. I have not found anyone else who had it done for them. Just curious. Marge He lives! Guest guest
I’ve experienced it, . The doctor called it “benign positional vertigo” and gave me Anti-vert for it, which I soon realized was nothing more than Dramamine. He said it was a viral infection and would go away on its own within 30 days. It did. So tell your friend to just take some Dramamine for awhile and it’ll be gone. Of course, if anyone has a non-drug way of handling it, I’d be interested in seeing that.<G> Sharyn From: health [mailto:health ] On Behalf Of A gal I go to church just informed me that she has this, that the dr said that some crystals came loose in her inner ear causing it. I said I'd ask around to see if anyone had any experience with it. No virus found in this incoming message. Was on antivert which helped a bit. Michele
Guest guest
There is one natural remedy that has been shown to help with extreme dizziness. You will want to first clean a lime, orange or lemon and then grate the peel into small pieces. Once you have done this you will want to add it to yoghurt or in a salad. Once you have consumed the grated peels of these fruits, you will find that your spinning head has calmed down. Although these three fruits all have beneficial peels to them, you will want to steer clear from the peel of a grapefruit because it will make your stomach upset. You will want to stay away from any type of caffeinated drinks, which includes coffee and ice tea. Also, you will not want to consume any type of alcohol or tobacco products because when you consume alcohol and you have vertigo your dizziness can move into the extreme category and some individuals have blacked out from this experience. Of course, the moment you feel dizzy you will want to sit down, even if you are in a public place. The reason for this is because if your dizziness becomes worse you could injury yourself by stumbling and potentially falling. One of the best ways to help relieve vertigo is to sit in a chair, some people find that laying down only makes their dizziness worse, and then turn off the lights. You will want to put either a hot or cold washcloth over your eyes and forehead, you choose what temperature makes you feel more relaxed and at ease. Of course, if your vertigo persists and becomes worse, you will want to consult a doctor because it could mean a more serious condition.
