Dearest Jeanetta,

Thank you so much for these links. In our busy lives these days we tend to

forgot the reasons for our holidays.

Thanks,

Bobbie

Memorial Weekend- but what does it mean in addition to BBQ's, picnics,

parties and a day off from work?

Enjoy your freedome to celebrate the Memorial Weekend the way thta you

want to, but take a moment to pay tribute to and celebrate the lives

of the men and women who served, fought and died for our freedom.

Dear Bobbie,

You are most welcome.

I have to agree with you. I heard a radio news announcement of hundreds of boy

and girl scouts placing American Flags on the gravesites of American Soldiers

with great ceremony. I wondered how many Americans actually know what 'today '

is and means, why there is a day off, what they should be 'celebrating' and

giving contemplation to. Then I felt a sense of 'duty'. When duty calls one

responds.
