Since this will be your first time - I would highly recommend you follow the

directios posted on Happy Herbalists website. he has step-by-step directions

with pictures.

You can get an affordable glass " crockery style " wide mouth jar at Target if you

do not have one already. They're kind of heavy, but i love that i can run them

thru the dishwasher now and then for a complete disinfecting (my washer has a

sanitizing cycle)

I make my tea in the morning first thing and then give it several hours to cool

to room temp to be sure it will not kill my scoby.
