Quilters -definition for Dimitrios

Hi Dimitrios,

" Quilters " are people who make quilts, they are a lightweight type of

cotton blanket usually made from scraps of fabric (cloth) and sewn in

beautiful patterns. The art of quilting began when the United States was

founded, (there was no T.V. then), and the women would gather to

socialize and make quilts. This was known as a " quilting bee " . It seems

many members have kept this wonderful craft alive! Sewing is

relaxation for some people.
