There are many listed as #1's which I personally have eaten, ingested and have had family members do the same. It's a paranoid list. This is why I use several sources of information, because they do differ. If you follow this paranoid list you will miss out on many valuable medicinals and edibles. Chokecherries? Toxic? Come on!!! LOL I've been eating Chokecherry jelly my entire life. I'm not blaming you Maggie, it's the list that's messed up. Everybody should consult more than one reference.
