Guest guest
I read the article. What it is really saying is that cola addicts should take potassium with their cola so they can drink ten quarts a day without ill effect. Guest guest
Most cola-colored soft drinks have phosphoric acid in them, which does, indeed, contribute to calcium motility (taking it out of the bones). But seriously - you think someone who drinks upwards of a half gallon of cola a day is going to read a report about the ill effects of such a practice?!? Ev "A hundred million miracles are happening every day!" People who drink more than two quarts of cola per day may induce severe and possibly fatal potassium deficiency, according to a study conducted by researchers from the University of Ioannina, Greece, and published in the International Journal of Clinical Practice. Guest guest
They might not read it, but their friends, family, co-workers will and I'm sure will point it out to the offender. At least that's what I do! Shari
Guest guest
Ahhh, well- couldn't hurt, might help. I used to LIVE on Dr. Pepper until I found out that bit of info. Quit that day, haven't so much as tasted it since (over 8 years ago). So, yeah, I guess it's true - you never know when something is going to hit home and wake someone up.
