Guest guest
This one broke my heart - in the US, right across the border from Canada in the Northeast and Washington there is a large number of people with lyme disease but the Canadian doctors deny any lyme disease in Canada. In the US if the disease is caught early it is easily treated with antibiotics, if not, it becomes a chronic debilitating disease, more so for some people than others. This is the story of a young girl in Canada whose lyme didn't get caught in time and she is getting no help at all from the Canadian doctors - so she's had to travel to the US for help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpnyMIPglLI & feature=PlayList & p=9DE53C4DEBE3DE3A & p\ laynext=1 & playnext_from=PL & index=10 http://tinyurl.com/ldmu3x if that didn't work. Some others say the US medical care system should be based on the one neationalized system that works - the VA hospital system. Odd, I don't remember vets liking it. One vet I worked with was suicidal but they told him he had to wait 6 months for a psychiatrist with high enough security clearance to see him - I said " But he's suicidal NOW! " and their reply was " He hasn't killed himself yet, has he? He can wait. Guest guest
lol. How about 'purports to show'. Again with the right wing propaganda on this list.... Well, I certainly trust a young, biased, comedian to be a fair journalist. And someone who obviously thinks that ANY move towards mandating that healthcare is a RIGHT is 'socialist', and socialism is evil, and on and on. > Found an interesting video that shows a typical experience in social > healthcare in canada. very interesting/enlightening to see what it's > like > there in that system. > > --> > Kelvin > >
Guest guest
Do you think that it might be possible to uncover individual horror stores occurring in American healthcare? Have you seen any? > This one broke my heart - in the US, right across the border from > Canada in the Northeast and Washington there is a large number of > people with lyme disease but the Canadian doctors deny any lyme > disease in Canada. There's one web site collecting individual stories of poor care for fat people. Not really about care in general but it does show how many ignorant providers are out there.
