Guest guest
I've been drinking both store bought and home made Kombucha on and off for years can say that when i do drink it, i like the nice body buzz you get from the enzymes and B vitamins. It has fairly decent pro-biotic activity as well. The only thing you nee to worry about if you make it at home is that you must maintain somewhat strict sanitary guidelines in order to keep your culture from getting contaminated as well as making sure it has a clean/dust free spot to do it thing during each batch cycle. Other than that - kombucha has been safe for consupmtion and being home grown for at least a hundred years. If you buy and drink the store bought stuff, you should not have any worries. When i get store bought, i prefer " GT's " Thiers is the most potent and even has " squidlies " (strings from the mother) in it. I sometimes recycle bottles and once rinsed a bottle and left a bit of water in the bottom and forgot to load it in the dishwaser; after 2 days, the bottle was growing a baby! It might help regulate your digestive system, and definietely couldnt hurt to try if that is what you were wondering. At the same time, several cases of harm have been reported. Therefore, until definitive studies quantify the risks and benefits of Kombucha tea, it's prudent to avoid it. I read the bottle and it basically said its a detoxifying tea bla bla bla Not 10 seconds after I took my first chug it felt like my liver was dunked in warm water. Guest guest
Oh, really, I thought it was because it looks like one. I saw it growing and multiplying because this lady left it in my home for some days in one occasion. Rena Re: Kombucha Tea It isn't really a mushroom. Guest guest
Hi Jenn: Welcome to the group. > I read on your Candida No-No's list that Kombucha is not recommended. Why? I thought that even if Kombucha Tea has been fermented and contains sugar, its natural healing powers would help to kill candida and other types of infection? *** Sorry, because Kombucha contains sugars it will feed Candida. > > The other question I had is that the No-Nos list for the Candida diet is quite extensive. Do you have a similar list of good things to eat that I just haven't located on your site? *** Here's the approved food list: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/foodslist.php Best, Marissa ( a group moderator)

As Marissa wrote Kombucha contains sugars and it also contains alcohol. That, in addition to the fact that candida cannot be killed off. The immune system has to get strong enough to " make " candida change back into the organism it is supposed to be in a healthy body. +++The main things that heal are the diet and supplements, i.e. " proper nutrients, " so your body can do its job the way Nature intended.
