Toadstools, flies and snakes all have a purpose.  That was my point,

God created marijuana for a purpose.  Your point is what?

My point is that we need to use judgement, while toadstools [a word often used for poisonous mushrooms] may resemble yummy and healthy mushrooms, they are not good for food, and flies help to break down rotting dead flesh but are not good to eat, and snakes [i'm sure they have some purpose] I stay away from them usually. Also My original post was in response to an inquiry to my post saying modern Phama has taken a good remedy like willow bark and turned it into Aspirin, to which someone replied they needed to take ASA every day, it was to that I said willow bark was probably not as damaging as ASA, being natural God made. Instead of responding in context you ambushed me.

Couldn't eat because of the chemo, vomited incessantly and was withering away to nothing because of lack of nourishment. He traveled out of state, at the suggestion of his oncologist AND family doctor, got a script for medical marijuana, and as long as he used it 3-4 times daily he could eat and keep food down. He started gaining weight and looking good, was able to get out of a wheel chair for the first time in many months. The local police showed

DA was overheard remarking that he was going after 25 to life to set an example for the "druggies" and the doctors. Of course, while you are in jail the people in charge are not going to let you smoke pot, it doesn't matter what your health issues or reasons are, or how many doctors come forward and say that smoking pot for this young man was a matter of life and death. It only took 2 days of jail food before the vomiting began again, by day 7 the vomiting was incessant and that evening, on day 7, he choked to death on his own vomit, in a jail cell, with no one around, confined to a wheel chair he didn't have the strength to get out of.There is absolutely no reason, whatsoever, that pot should not be

legalized. None what so ever. Put personal belief and prejudice aside and think about what legalization would mean to the sick that benefit greatly from its use. God put pot on this earth to be used, just like he planted fruits and vegetables.------------------------------------

ok,, we have people who agree and who don't agree.. that is everyone's choice...(Just keep it all friendly).. The only thing I will say is that it is a plant, and has medicinal qualities... but like anything else in life.. it gets abused.. just like people, alcohol, herbs, animals etc. If mankind could and would act responsibly as a whole, we would have this plant available just like sudafed or aspirin.

Oh? Jane? Sorry, I thought it would have been Wanna. Can you all tell that I was a good little Catholic school girl growing up? All my friends were quiet, well behaved girls. Yes I know, boring youth but hey, I'm still here, and some of those partiers I used to know in high school are gone now. After all of that I'm amazed to be the kind of rebel that I am now.

AMEN Sister!!!!!!! I used to be a RN at Roswell Park Cancer Institute in

Buffalo, New York. That's the place where I actually learned about medical

marijuana first. In a cancer institute. It really does work for them and

it worked for taking the pain away for me so it helps in more than one way.

I just hope that legalizing it won't turn it into a monster by changing it

too much. I'd prefer it to what I have to take now.

I was wrong this morning with some of the names. The main, #1 name was Hearst! His paper industry depended on trees and not the easy, renewable cannabis. He had a corner on almost all the paper producing industry.

Personally, I think marijuana should be treated like cigarettes and

alcohol. No, I don't use it, but do wish it were legal here for at least

medical use.

Course, I think all drugs and meds should be taxed and available OTC,

with no prescription. This would take what are now prescription drugs

down in cost, so more people could afford them. Also, these drugs and

meds could be imported into the US a lot easier. After all, a good

percentage of our current meds, come from Europe. So why can't we order

them from the same company now?

Most snakes are nutritious as well.

Not sure of the flies, but I love frog legs and frogs eat flies. I think

some types of flies actually pollinate flowers. Then flies also lay eggs

in dung and road kill. That helps get rid of dung and road kill the

natural way.

Toadstools grow on decaying organic material. I've been getting one to

two truck loads of mushroom compost a year for my garden containers and

wood enclosures. While I really doubt the mushroom compost came from

toadstools. It might have. In any case, I am pretty sure that toadstools

provide lots of benefits to humankind.

The point is of course that we need to be discerning as to what we do in the form of ingestion or injection.

The things flies pollinate tend to be stinky.
