Guest guest
Hi Bern, My guess is it's a good idea to hold off on the oats until you get the candida under control. A few months ago they made me sicker. I have some brown rice cooked every once in a while and I haven't had any bad effects from it. Guest guest
Hi Bern, It's good to hear from you. Oats contain gluten and are not recommended. Brown rice is okay like Zack said. It does not contain gluten. Guest guest
, Oats, organic is best, are fine for you but to start your day complete protein is best. So if you want your oats have egg with it. Cook the eggs in butter to make sure you get some fat as well. Your body needs that protein to function and to keep your blood sugar even. Straight carbohydrate is not going to cut it. We as women need anywhere from 60-80 grams of complete protein a day. Most women do not eat nearly that. If you don't get enough your body gets it from your muscle. In essence your body eats itself. Not something, if you are already exhausted and struggling with illness you want to happen. You will just get sicker. hugs, Sue From: Gaduyon <noerzmom@...>Subject: Re: Hi This is how I'm feeling today Date: Wednesday, September 16, 2009, 6:50 AM I am super tired. Yesterday, I taught 21 kindergarteners all day, had a Faculty meeting and School Improvement Plan Mtg til 5 , grabbed a quick meal and had to be back at school at 5:55 for Open House til 7:30. Then, got home and realized (when the cats meet me at the door with little machettes and guns and a gleam in theri eyes) that we were out of cat food. Finally got back in around 8:30. Much too long of a day. Wasn't all that tired last night, but I'm paying for it today. Oh well, off to work again right now. hope I find some energy. btw.. anyone eat steel cut oats? Is that a good breakfast choice or is ther anything I shold know? I read as much as I could and didn't see anything bad, but I don't have proper research time for things
Guest guest
OatsOats are good for your body in many ways. They help stabilize blood sugar and lower cholesterol, and are high in protein and fiber. Oats are available in many forms including instant, steel-cut, rolled, bran, groats, flakes, and flour. The best options are the less refined ones like steel-cut, rolled, flakes, and bran. Oat flour is an excellent substitute for wheat flour in baking recipes. A good source of minerals like manganese, selenium, magnesium, and the sleep aid tryptophan, in many studies oats also assist with lowering cholesterol and reducing the risk of heart disease.
