Guest guest
What a great article! After having wondered about it last week, and then seeing an article in the newspaper, I decided to do my treadmill jog barefoot this morning. I did have to stop and put socks on - the treadmill belt is a bit rough on my feet - but other than that, I loved it! I went barefoot most of the time in FL, a million years ago. I nearly cried on the treadmill - it felt so very much like, "I'm baaa-aaaack!" Maybe I'll be the first person to run herself backwards in time!!! Guest guest
So can any of you lift your toes independently? I don't think I could ever do this, even as a kid. Shari
Guest guest
Just the big'uns! And it's been YEARS since I tried, but I used to be able to pick up a dime off terrazzo floors. Guest guest
Phew, I can get the big ones up too. And yes, I used to be able to pick up change with my toes. I was lucky being born in a time when you could actually go barefoot all summer at Grama's lake house. September was awful when we had to go back to school and shoes!!! Guest guest
I could when I was young... but back then I was always barefoot. I can only lift the big toe by itself... if I try the next toe the big comes up with it.. lol.. (and the others. Suzi List Owner health What is a weed? Guest guest
In tenth grade, I had a pair of sandals that were constantly breaking. Those stupid things were stapled together nine ways to Sunday! (Why didn't I replace them? Oh, there's a WHOLE other Oprah show...) They generally fell apart daily while walking to lunch, so the remainder of the day I was going to my classes barefoot. The only thing about it that really bugged me was how filthy my feet got in the hallways! Not off-campus, mind you, but the open-air hallways were GROSS!!! My teachers seldom harrassed me about it, except my biology teacher razzed me about how dirty my feet were. I happily pointed out that they were fine until I walked in the halls!
