Guest guest
Is turmeric contraindicated for gallbladder stones? Rena Speaking of Tumeric Eat This Spice To Improve Your Crohn’s By Kathleen Hall Relief for Crohn’s disease may be as near as your kitchen cupboard If you cook at all, chances are you have used the spice Turmeric. You may know it best as one of the main ingredients in curry recipes. Turmeric doesn't just add spice to your food; it has been used for more than 5,000 years in India, China, and ancient Egypt for its extensive healing powers. The active ingredient in Turmeric is Curcumin, a biologically active photochemical. Curcumin is a member of the ginger family. Its roots and underground stems are crushed and ground into turmeric. This is what gives it its yellow color. In the human body, Curcumin is associated with more than 700 genes. Curcumin may reduce-or even prevent-Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. This powerhouse ingredient is anti-inflammatory, anti-carcinogen, anti-oxidant, anti-viral, and anti-fungal. It is effective in alleviating the discomfort caused by Crohn's symptoms. Curcumin may also be a neurological protective agent. How does Curcumin work? Plants and roots naturally manufacture chemicals that prevent insect attacks. These same chemicals also offer health benefits when humans ingest them. Researchers believe Curcumin affects cell membranes, which modulate the flow of chemical signals to and from cells involved in chronic inflammation. Curcumin interferes in the transmission of these messages, so it actually controls the flow of information. It also inhibits enzymes that are associated with inflammation, and research shows it may modulate more than 700 genes in humans. In the body, Turmeric decreases congestion and inflammation in mucus membranes by coating organs, such as the small intestine. It also has antibacterial properties so it prevents infection. This makes Turmeric especially helpful for patients who have recently had surgery and are at higher risk of infection. Curcumin mimics the action of TNF blockers, which are medications used in treating inflammation caused by Crohn's disease. TNF-a (Tumor Necrosis Factor-a) is a gene that binds to cells and triggers inflammation in our body. Fortunately, there are no known side effects from turmeric in humans, and it is not toxic up to 8,000 milligrams per day. Turmeric is sold as a dietary supplement; the Food and Drug Administration does not regulate it. You can use it as a spice, brew it as a tea, or purchase it the form of a tincture, capsule, table, ointment or paste. If you are pregnant or have gallstones, are undergoing chemotherapy treatment or taking blood thinners, check with your physician before taking turmeric. Suzi List Owner health What is a weed? Guest guest
OK Gang. Here I go. Turmeric, has important healing properties. Curcumin, the primary ingredient which gives it its yellow color, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant qualities and protects the liver from toxins. it also lower cholesterol and inhibits the replication of HIV-1. It also improves rheumatoid arthritis and reduces joint swelling. Turmeric is also used to improve digestion, reduce uterine tumors, decongest the liver, dissolve gallstones, increase ligament flexibility and reduce menstrual pain. Dosage: 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon daily, as a spice or taken in capsules. Greg. PS would any one like to hear about the gallbladder flush, renewal or cleanse? Guest guest
Not this way...Gall Bladder Renewal: When the liver is consistently stagnant, sediment often settles out of the bile and forms accumulations that resemble stones, sand,or mud in the gall bladder. Since the gall bladder acts as a reservoir for bile, it becomes less efficient when clogged with sediment, and acute problems result when stones become lodged in the bile duct leading from the gall bladder to the duodenum.   Symptoms of sediment in the gall bladder.; indigestion, flatulence, periodic pain below the right front side of the rib cage, tension in the back of the shoulders near the neck, bitter taste in mouth, chest pain. Most chronically ill people need gall bladder cleansing before recovery is complete; this includes people who are stressed.   Gradual gall bladder cleanse:   During this process, avoid foods richest in saturated fats and cholesterol-- heavy meats, and eggs. Also avoid peanuts and eat other nuts and seeds sparingly. if at all. Eat unrefined grains, vegys, fruits, and legumes... Such a diet gradually clears the gall bladder. Pears parsnips, seaweeds, lemons, limes, and the spice turmeric hasten gallstone removal. Radish also removes deposits and stones from the gall bladder. For 21 days eat just one or two radishes a day between meals; in addition drink 3 cups of cleavers tea, or 5 cups of chamomile tea each day. Finally pour 5 teaspoons of fresh, cold-pressed flax oil over food at one meal of the day, or use half this amount at 2 daily meals. Thedosage can vary accordingly to weight ( a 160 lbperson needs about 5 teaspoons). Flax Oil should be taken 6 days a week for 2 months. This diet and its specific stone-dissolving foods and herbs are usually sufficient to remove all sediment. The gall bladder flush may be used if the gradual method is inconvenient. In cases of very large stones which cannot be flushed through the bile duct, the gradual method above is appropriate. Gall Bladder Flush.... Beginning in the morning and throughout the day, eat only apples, preferably organic, as many as desired, but at least 4 or 5. Apples of the green variety seem most effective, although all apples will help soften the stones. Water, herbal teas,and/ or apple juice may also be taken. At bed-time, warm up 2/3 of a cup of virgin olive oil to body temp. and mix in 1/3 cup fresh lemon juice. Slowly sip the entire mixture, and them immediately go to bed, lying on the right side, with the right leg drown up. In the morning all stones should pass in the stool. This flush should be done with the guidance of an experienced health person. This remedy has undoubtedly made gall-bladder operations unnecessary in 1000's of likely candidates. An added benefit is that gallbladder cleansing clears residues of access from the liver as well. A mild variation of this treatment is ... for 5 days in a row, ingest on an empty stomach 2 tablespoon of olive oil followed by 2 tablespoons of lemon juice. Greg. Mung beans and their sprouts, celery, seaweeds(kelp is very helpful for the liver),lettuce, cucumber, watercress, tofu, millet, plum, chlorophyll-rich foods, mushrooms, rhubarb root or stem, radish again and daikon radish are very effective in reducing toxicity. Guest guest
Thank you very much for this information. I'll try the first method. It seems a bit slower for me and a bit on the safer side. I'm sorry but I just can't over that fear. I had seen people come to the ER who had tried to flush out their gallbladder and ended up blocking their bile duct and had to be rushed to surgery. I'm sure they may have done something wrong but that fear is still in me from seeing it.
