DE is Diatomaceous Earth, see: http://wolfcreekranch1.tripod.com/defaq.html always buy food grade, it's great for pets, gardens, so many uses, no bugs with DE. If you are interested I have a great source for Food grade DE online. Cheaper than this site. I buy it by the 50# bags and use lots in my garden.

I can't use it but others might find it a true remedy.

http://www.countrysidenatural.com/home.php use the search box on the top left and type in DE, then scroll down alphabetically to DE, it's cheap for 50# and you can give or sell it to others, it is food grade and is awesome for fleas [i dust it on my dogs], and bugs in the garden [i use it in a spray bottle with Neem powder and a few drops of disahsoap, also for dogs hips and other pain, and internal parasites. People can use it too for lots of stuff, I love DE, and give it to lots of others.

I am taking 5000 units of D3 daily.

I have been using a tooth paste made with only natural ingredients, but I also use salt or baking soda.

Cheryl and Rena,I have to add this about the vitamin D3. If you want an all natural way to get your D vitamin. Bare your arms and head for 15 minutes a day in direct sunlight. During the summer, that's all it takes to get enough of the D vitamin in your body. Never use sunscreen at all. Lotion or any oils, should not be used before getting that sun either. During times of cooler weather or when the sun isn't available for more than a couple days. I do take my vitamin D3 caps, to the tune of 4,000iu, twice a day. It is hard to get too much of this important med. There are a couple foods or oils that also have vitamin D in them. Not sure what they are now. For I remember that I wasn't going to put that stuff in my mouth unless I was dying. I'm thinking maybe cod liver oil, sardines and one other thing like that.I also loved your advice about the toothpaste. I've been against commercial toothpastes for many years now. The rest of your posting is spot on!Rena, good luck on the tooth. I've had 3 Root Canals and even with the pain med injections, it hurt. That's how bad the abscesses were the. Food grade DE is good for a multitude of medical problems. It can be

eaten and it can help preserve foods for very long term storage. Seems

bugs eat it and it interferes with their insides. the same De doesn't

bother us humans. Not sure if it can harm pets or not.

Then there is the non food grade DE that is definitely NOT good for you.

I think it is used somehow in swimming pool filters, but not sure. So

unless the DE says food grade or safe for human use. Stay away from it.

It's' fine for pets, and the pool grade is bad news for human use.

Oh, wait, no pool grade for pets either, I read what I wrote, but you can grow in pool grade, as the guy at Lowe's assures me.

Today I began the oil pulling and also to take the oil of oregano.

I use it by the tablespoon in my fresh veg juice, but capsules would work too. It doesn't have much of a taste.

i used it as powder mixed with the grain for feeding... otherwise dusted the donkey... I didn't use it for myself.
