Guest guest
I was recently given a sprouter and a few bags of beans/seeds and they are growing nicely, however I am unsure which bits are edible! Do I have to nip off just the sprout itself or can I eat the whole lot including the source bean/pea? Somebody told me that some beans are toxic and shouldn't be eaten without a long boil. I currently have adzuki and snow pea.
Guest guest
Welcome to Sprouting! I would check Sproutpeople.com website for info on which you need to cook. I eat the peas raw and cook pintos, aduki, etc,. It is a great site and they sell terrific sprouting seeds. I have always had great luck with their all their seeds, beans, nuts and sprouters and their instructions are really helpful. Diane
