Update on cabbage and hemp bags

I followed the advice of the person who suggested trying a mason jar,

and I finally figured out my problem with the radish and cabbage mix.

The radish seeds sprout very quickly; the cabbage seeds take their

time. Being able to watch and only using three tablespoons of seeds, I

had the luxury of taking my time. The radish seeds now have really

long roots (this is day three); the cabbage seeds are just beginning

to send out little tails but all of them appear to be doing so. Now

that I know this, I can go back to using the bags and will do my

cabbage separately.

Having not heard from the person with the expertise on the hemp bags,

I am ordering one from The Sprout People (they say theirs is tightly

enough woven to use with the smallest seeds, and one from Sproutman,

and will proceed my usual way to figure it out as much as I can. Any

suggestions and help are ALWAYS appreciated. Without the message about

using the mason jars, I never would have had the seeds in an

environment that was really easy to watch over and see exactly when my

seeds sprouted.

By the way, I tried the Rejuvelac recipe from The Sprout People made

with rye, and it is delicious: very tart, and I do admit that to drink

a whole wiine glass full, I added a scant teaspoon of local raw honey

and a squirt of mayer lemon juice. Really tasty. Now I will see if it

makes any difference health wise.

And my small potted herb garden on our patio table is growing

beautifully on the water from rinsing my seeds.

Now that I have all this under way and going strong, I have to figure

out how to be away from everything for 10 days in June to play with

grandkids up in the Adirondacks.

I really appreciate this list. I'll keep you all posted when I start

using the hemp bags.
