Guest guest
I think I need to address my shoulder pain which has become excruciating in the last two days. Had to have my husband help dress me this morning!!! Looking through the files I am overwhelmed and pain is causing me to be very cranky. Can anyone help me out with a formula for inflammation? I saw the chiro this morning and it's a bit better, but laying on his table I kept seeing the word " inflammation " and " formula " . I figure this is the group to lead me in the right direction. Thanks, Shari

Guest guest
have you considered MSM: I've had good results with it.. also soaking in acv every day. Re: MSM-- Take supplements of MSM, which is an organic form of sulfur and a derivative of DMSO. Pain relieving and anti-inflammatory effects are cumulative; a few days of use may be necessary for relief. In the book, The Miracle of MSM, a study of 24 people treated for athletic injuries was reported that showed MSM was twice as effective as placebos in providing pain relief. MSM comes in 1,000 mg tablets and can be taken four times a day, tapering down to twice a day as needed. MSM has a slight aspirin-like effect; consult a physician before using MSM if taking other blood-thinning medications. I'm curious.. do you drink alot of water? what else? have you thought about some small fasts for a few days.. do you eat more veggies or fruits or both.. and one or the other at meals or both at same time? what all are you taking? Try capsulizing tumeric and taking it rather than in mustard. Suzi List Owner health What is a weed? A plant whose virtues have not yet been discovered. Guest guest
Tomatoes and other veggies in that class are bad for arthritis sufferers. I'm hoping that the combination of lots of solar exposure and eating tomatoes, cancels the bad things from tomatoes. I know my arthritis seems to be better now. As for the lack of pesticides and herbicides in your raw foods(hopefully home grown). They are in most foods and water anymore. Guest guest
Thanks Suzi, I had forgotten that! I use that in most of my casseroles and stove top cooking. No more than a 1/2-1 teaspoon of powder per pot. There are turmeric powder caps also sold. Can't help you on the amount you need there. Just don't take too much. Guest guest
I did take turmeric in capsule form, it didn't seem to do anything. I drink about a gallon of water, I'm diabetic so not much fruit, but I do eat more than I used to at least one serving per day. Fasting I used to do but the whole Diabetic thing....If I fast my digestive system just shuts down and it's hard to get it started again. I'm honestly not making excuses, I'm baffled, I've been taking care of myself since I woke up during surgery then had a massive stroke at age 20. I've never had this kind of thing, well I had some flares but nothing like this. I think I'll try the MSM. Does it address Inflammation or joint pain? I can't afford to immerse in ACV, lol. ~Katy Sheep to the right; His Lamb “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength" Isa 30:15 http://orchardhouseheirlooms.com/product_info.php/cPath/157_163/products_id/199 survival seeds Christian-homesteaders/ biblical survival -- Re: inflammation IBD and flexor tendonitis. Guest guest
Oh, I forgot, the supplements, for Diabetes, the four minerals-Magnesium, Selenium, zinc and Chromium, also benfotiamine a fat-based thyamine, I take a lot of flax seed oil, anywhere from 4.000IU to 10,000IU. Also I take three heaping tablespoons of ground flax seed, and 1 of ground chia in my veggie juice everyday, the juice is beet, zucchini, squash blossom and whatever else is ripe from my garden. I also take Kelp and Vitamin D-3 2,000 IU. I take a lot of flax seed oil because without it I can't keep my digestive system going. Been that way for nearly 10 years. I eat cooked and raw veggies every day, fruits nearly every day. I eat some pain yogurt and Kefir for candidiasis [also sauerkraut]. I do not cheat on my diet, I can't, I break out in pain. No one believes any of this until they see an allergic reaction, or live thru' a 'flare', with me. Guest guest
A spoon of turmeric powder in a glass of water is excellent. I add cayenne pepper, garlic and onion powders also. -- No sig line is too small. Facebook is evil. Rent this space. Guest guest
I try to add lots of garlic and onions to my diet. I did everything via supplement for years, now I'm working on just changing my diet. I've gotten a lot of benefit from the cinnamon and honey tea I've been drinking every day. I bought some completely unprocessed fermented honey which I'm really liking. ~Katy Sheep to the right; His Lamb “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength" Isa 30:15 http://orchardhouseheirlooms.com/product_info.php/cPath/157_163/products_id/199 survival seeds Christian-homesteaders/ biblical survival -- Re: inflammation> > > > IBD and flexor tendonitis. Guest guest
I agree I can eat those too, lots of peppers, mild for now [sigh] and tomatoes, etc. Love 'em. I've gone all organic, but I know even my well-water is probably polluted. ~Katy Sheep to the right; His Lamb “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength" Isa 30:15 http://orchardhouseheirlooms.com/product_info.php/cPath/157_163/products_id/199 survival seeds Christian-homesteaders/ biblical survival -- Re: inflammationTomatoes and other veggies in that class are bad for arthritis sufferers. Guest guest
Don't forget the cinnamon for diabetes either. I take a total of 2,000mg a day, but spread it out somewhat. It got me off of an oral insulin. Course, I also rarely eat anything with sugar. Started that a few years ago, but before being diagnosed with diabetes.
