Guest guest
I would appreciate it very much if you could elaborate on how you could avoid your children getting the shots before school. My DIL tried and it didn't work for her kids and now we have another little one starting soon into kindergarten. We don't want to get the shots but don't know how to get around it. Thanks, San >> Her brother is 27 and he only got the first 1.5 years of shots and after that, well we won't go into how I got them into public schools without poisoning them. Guest guest
I'm not Shari, but the school district should have a form that you can use to get around the issue on the grounds of religious or philosophical beliefs. That's how it works around here .... http://www.ncsl.org/issuesresearch/health/schoolimmunizationexemptionlaws/tabid/14376/default.aspx On 6/8/2010 6:56 PM, s.l-c.o wrote:  I would appreciate it very much if you could elaborate on how you could avoid your children getting the shots before school. Guest guest
Actually I take that back, I cannot email you the details - at all. Sorry. However, I know there are websites that address this very issue and I'm pretty sure they can find a way around the whole mess, even when they say you can't. Ever think of home schooling? How about co-op schooling if they have to work? Shari

Whari<<<< Was this for me? If it was~ those links All have info on getting your kids into public school without having shots. Every single state in the US has waivers that you can (usually) download (or get from your local health department) so that the kids can go to public school (or daycare) without shots. You just need to look through the links to see what your state requires in the form of a waiver. Jan G. Guest guest
Yes, in Georgia only the religious grounds are acceptable, and we cannot conscientiously use that because it is not a religious matter but a physical an d moral one. Guest guest
I know that religious exemptions work in many states. Nothing was ever said you had to be of that religion, whichever they are. If this means lying to the authorities, then I believe it is your right to decline shots for your kids. Guest guest
It used to be that a philosophical objection was accepted. But that statement is delightfully vague! ~Katy Sheep to the right; His Lamb “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength" Isa 30:15 http://orchardhouseheirlooms.com/product_info.php/cPath/157_163/products_id/199 survival seeds Christian-homesteaders/?yguid=227010598 biblical survival -- Re: Shots for school/Shari I wrote that it's against my beliefs to get my son immunized, had it notorized, and it's filed in his school file.
