Guest guest
never heard of them.. sorry ev. Suzi From: evelyn bailey <autumn3scorpio@...>Subject: Juicer Questions Okay, so I'm in the grocery store, and I'm seeing cactus pads for $.69 a pound, and I'm wondering if those are good juiced?Looked 'em up on-line and what I learned is - they have a flavor similar to green beans, and a mucilaginous juice that gets stickier with cooking, like okra (ick). Guest guest
I LOVE my new Omega Vert330!!! Go to YouTube and google it to see some demonstrations. It is fabulous and does everything it says; HOWEVER I have and don't plan on putting cherries WITH pits through mine! I started with a Champion, graduated to a GreenStar and have now arrived with an Omega! In fact I get to take over the kitchen tomorrow at the Culinary School tomorrow as Chef is going out of town. We have massive amounts of produce to use up before school is over and I thought I'd give the little dears a sample of what I do - UN-cooking! We have a couple of cases of apples and oranges as well as celery, bell peppers, parsley, etc... I'll see what else I can come up with the entertain the little you-know-whats! I plan on making almond milk and macadamia nut milk for them. Wish me luck! Shari
