Guest guest
There are two types of herpes simplex virus. Herpes simplex 1 is responsible for mouth sores and lysine is supposedly useful in suppressing the outbreak of the mouth sores. But the arginine in APG may aggravate the virus. -gts lip blisters > Gordon and all, > > I have been having just a very slight case of blister on my upper and > lower lip, very unusual for me. Guest guest
According to the literatuire: Arginine has been known to aggrevate/feed herpes and lysine tends to reduce the episode and maintain the virus dormant if taken regularly. This I read in the literature for both aminos respectively. I remember this information when I first started my " heavy " (5 gram each) amino stack. However, I have not had the need to see if it is really true, or in practice, factual. > > > > > >and painful... but he does, and apparently there is no > > > If I recall lysine > > may help control > > this, but I was wondering if I am getting a little > > out of balance with > > my amino supplementation. Guest guest
Just by coincidence, my son has a " flame " on his lip too, and so last night we went to the pharmacy and bought him a cream with acyclovir... Inside there was the little information sheet that they put inside medicines, and it said that this is a form of herpes, caused by a virus, and that it is contagious... somebody with this probably innocently kissed my son sometime, and he caught it too... it is similar to genital herpes, and I suppose other types of herpes... It isn't very serious, as my son has it, but in principle I don't like the thought that he has herpes, because herpes can be very serious and painful... but he does, and apparently there is no way to get rid of it, just possible to control it... right now it is not serious, on him, and I hope it doesn't ever become worse. I don't know, Dale, if you have the same thing. Acyclovir helps. Probably also ribavirin. --- " Dale R. Guest guest
Ellis, Needless to say it is a very common problem. As a matter of fact I read that it afflicts up to 80% of the population. My concern was that I wasn't using a proper balance of aminos, as I recall reading that certain imbalances can cause the problem. I took some lysine last night and it seems to be a little better. I am familiar with Acyclovir, but I don't think I need it right now. Thanks, Dale Ellis Toussier wrote: Just by coincidence, my son has a "flame" on his lip too, and so last night we went to the pharmacy and bought him a cream with acyclovir...
