Guest guest
Okay, so I'm in the grocery store, and I'm seeing cactus pads for $.69 a pound, and I'm wondering if those are good juiced?Looked 'em up on-line and what I learned is - they have a flavor similar to green beans, and a mucilaginous juice that gets stickier with cooking, like okra (ick). But it doesn't say you have to cook them (like you must do for polk salad or fiddlehead ferns), so I'm wondering - has anyone tried them in a juicer? Thanks! Gosh, I'm having fun with this! Gosh, I wish I weren't starving half to death....(cardboard sounds scrumptious right now).Ev"A hundred million miracles are happening every day!"
