Guest guest
Sounds like Lyme. If so, you need to see a doctor. Lyme runs in stages, and if you can catch it in the first state one treatment with antibiotics is all that is needed. If it advances to later stages, real trouble can occur, including death. When you removed the tick, are you sure you got the head out completely? On 6/18/2010 9:55 PM, Greg w wrote: I HAVE been bitten by the star tick in north eastern Florida. Guest guest
Yes. But its not lyme. It was not a deer tick. Much to big. I did not notice a round dot on its back, but it seems like the same symtoms that the STARI tick site said. That kind of tick has a dot on its back. Right now the rash is just about gone. I remove ticks by putting a little soap on a cotton ball and in a circular motion keep rubbing till it releases. Seems to work pretty well. It smothers them andthey release. Greg  I HAVE been bitten by the star tick in north eastern Florida. Guest guest
Hi Greg, Hope it isn't Lyme's. I looked through my notes and found Japanese Knotweed (sp?) 5,000 milligram a day. You can get it in powder or whole form. I use the whole form for tea. It is an adaptogen herb and major source of reversotrol. It is also the herb to use to prevent Lyme's. It is recommended to also take 3,500 milligrams of powdered astragulus. There is a leading American herbalist named Harrod Buehner (sp?) that has a book called Battling Lyme's that I have heard highly recommended. Hope this helps. Peace on earth. Cheryl P.S. Has anyone heard from ? Hope all is well. STARI I HAVE been bitten by the star tick in north eastern Florida.
