.... Hello ... It is safe to eat germinated rice... I eat it everyday... I don't

eat rice that is sprouted to green but I eat just germinated brown rice... it is

difficult to sprout rice... you have to keep them at 85 to 100 degrees for about

22 hours and you have to change the water every 4 hours... to get them to sprout

.... I don't plant them in soil... buy it is certainly safe in fact it is much

healthier and better tasting to eat germinated brown rice... if you want more

info ... email me.. thanks good luck

Is it safe to eat the green sprout of rice? I'm not saying that I sprouted rice.

I don't even know if store-bought rice sprouts. Does anyone have experience with

this?

Hi... I use or used regular short grain brown rice... I was putting them in a

hemp sack and I had them sit in a foot massager in green tea ... the foot

massager kept the water at 100 degrees... I had to change the water every 6

hours and then in about 22 hours the rice germinated just a pinch... then I

would cook it like white rice and it turned out pretty good.. I was not the only

one doing this... different people have different methods of keeping the water

at around that temp... some used a yugurt machine and ran it with the top off

and someone mentioned using a singe burner with a dimmer switch installed to

control the power to the heat to the proper temp... Now someone sells dehydrated

germinated brown rice so I buy theirs and I don't germinate my own anymore.....

I recently experimented with making sourdough starter--and keeping it

warm in an oven with the light kept on (but no heat). Would that be

warm enough to sprout rice?

Just google " GErminated Brown Rice " there is a wealth of infromation...

Germinated brown rice is a super food..

..

One of the reasons we want to get brown rice into our diet is because brown rice

contains; among other things, the amino acid GABA, or gamma-aminobutyric acid.

GABA is one of the things baseball players take from a needle to heal faster and

weightlifters take to loose fat. The GABA contained in brown rice stimulates the

production of human growth hormone in a natural and safe; yet, significant way.

Some of the other benefits from GABA are an improved sleep cycle, lower blood

pressure, an improved immune system and it proportably inhibits the development

of cancer cells, It assists the treatment of anxiety disorders because it is

also an inhibitory neurotransmitter.

There is 10 times more of the amino acid GABA in brown rice than in white rice

and there is twice the amount of the amino acid GABA in germinated or sprouted

brown rice than in plain brown rice. When the brown rice is germinated in green

tea the amount of the amino acid and other nutrients increases again and I

suspect that when the green tea germinated brown rice is fermented in kombucha

tea or water kefir the benefits will increase again

The taste of germinated brown rice is more enjoyable than plain brown rice, as

the sugars held captive in the grains jacket are broken down and released. After

eating germinated brown rice the feeling in the body is lighter than after

eating plain brown rice.

Hi ,

Do you sprout the brown rice with husk/jachet or without? The brown rice we get

for cooking is without husk/jacket. It will be difficult to eat the husk.

Hi! I really don't know... I get my brown rice from the " Whole Food " Store and I

don't sprout it myself anymore... because there is a new company that germinates

brown rice... then they dehydrate it in the Southern California sun and then

they package it and ship it through out the country.. I have tried their product

and I like it so now I don't germinate my own anymore... I am guessing that they

know what they are doing.. but who really knows.. but I like the product.
