Lamisil is very hard on the liver. Have her use white iodine on her nails morning and evening. When the new nail grows out it will be clean and healthy with no compromise to her liver. You can get it at any pharmacy. L Wood

The trick is finding a dermatologist that understands low immune function. Once we found her -- she took every episode seriously and even when she would say -- I don't think it's fungus -- she would still scrape it and examine in under the microscope and it always came back fungus. Then she was really good about keeping on trying stuff (increasing in power) until we got it under control. Guest guest
Hi Janet, Our son Hayden gets fungus around and under his toenails. The actual nail is not affected, but the skin around it responds well to Loprox solution applied topically. Loprox does require a prescription, but it works very well. Conner had a fungal infection on his arm that we could not get rid of, Loprox was the only thing that worked for that too. Mom to Conner (11, possible combined immune deficiency, Asperger's, mild CP, partial seizures, asthma, GERD, Hashimoto's disease and resolved adrenal insufficiency), Hayden (11, unknown PID, PDD-NOS, IBS and moderate hearing loss/aided), Evan (11, unknown PID, asthma and mild hearing loss/unaided), and Kelsey - (10, unknown PID, asthma) Please visit us at www.caringbridge.org/in/connersmith
Guest guest
, It sounds like you suffer from a systemic yeast infection, which could be the responsible for all your symptoms. You only see the external ends of it, but your entire system is probably coated with yeast, interfering with your ability to absorb nutrients from your food and possibly preventing your treatments from being effective. This is usually the result of destroying the natural bacterial balance with antibiotics and chemotherapy. I know people who have had similar problems. I can't tell you what to do, but I can tell you what I would do, if it were me. I would consult a Life Scientist (Natural Hygienist) and consider doing a closely supervised fast. The stuff will start coming out so fast, that you may have to scrape it out with a spoon every morning. I know people who have tried every medical " cure " for this condition, and they all appear to work, temporarily. (I think what they do is put it in remission, so you don't see it, but you still have it internally.) Ridding it with a fast seems to be the only thing that works permanently. You might want to read a couple of books on fasting to understand how it works, but I wouldn't recommend doing an actual fast without supervision. You will lose weight and look frighteningly thin during the process, but you should actually feel pretty good. Eventually, your weight will normalize. For the fungi I am taking 3 herbs as drops, and using aloe. My question is, what else would you suggest doing, and mostly if all of these sympthoms could be caused by the fungal infection. Guest guest
I suggest that you see a good traditional chinese doctor and put turmeric paste (powder mixed with a bit of water or lime juice) on the infections. I had a 3 weeks long herpes breakout that did not want to go away. After only 3 days of chinese medicine and turmeric paste application, it is almost completely gone and scared free. Guest guest
> > I suggest that you see a good traditional chinese > doctor Hi, I would also suggest traditional chinese *herbal* medicine. Chinese medicine will use a combination of herbals to treat the visible symptoms and the underlying local immune deficiency. It is taken as a tea and has an effect on the whole body.
