Hi, Ginnie, the website that you went to to join this group

(sfproutpeople.com) will give you lots of info about all kinds of seeds,

plus soom recipes. I think most of us create our own recipes by just

experimenting.. In your favorite search engine, type sprouting and see

what you get. I pretty much use sprouts in everything. I do not use

sprouts as the main ingredient. This week so far, I have topped an

omelet, put them in a salad, and on a sandwich instead of lettuce. I have

snacked on them. And this is just Monday.

After the sprouts are ready to eat, I spin them in a salad spinner to get

them dry. You don't want to put them away wet. Then I lay a white dish

towel on the bread board and place the sprouts on one end. Double the

other end over the top and let them dry for about an hour. Then I put

them into plastic containers, with tight lids, as you would leftovers.

Use them as you need them. Don't forget to start a new batch before you

run out of the sprouts you are eating.

Keep asking questions. Someone out there generally has an answer.

best book for a newbie? Or do I really

need one?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to sprouting and really want to dig in and get started, but I

admit, I have so much on my plate, I'm a little overwhelmed. Can you

recommend a great book or website that breaks down some of the

different seeds for me, and what all I can do w/ them? Recipes? I

think that is a big issue for me, what do I do w/ these seeds once

I've

sprouted them? I'm guessing different seeds would probably have

different uses based on flavor?

Thanks so much!

Ginnie
