Guest guest
I rarely do.. I wish they would take it off phones.. we've had way too many deadly crashes in MO & IL due to texting while driving.. can't even imagine how anyone could do that and be paying attention to the road and cars etc. Sorry Shari, I don't mind some abbreviations.. but not the entire language.. we already lost penmanship, the ability to work out a math problem in our heads, and I guess spelling is going next..... I love it and I spell out all my words when I text. Sometimes texting is the only way my kids will "talk" to me. My pet peeve is using words incorrectly or incorrect words. Guest guest
Spelling is already gone, at least for the current generation of students. Why learn to spell when you have spell check? Guest guest
I'm positive the kid who hit my husband while he was turning right, the kid was coming up from behind, swerved down into the ditch and up on the driveway to hit him, was texting. Because right after he hit my husband; he sped up, hit two [big] trees, knocked them down and got out, never asking if my husband was ok, and resumed texting. No-fault insurance, My husband is really hurting our car is toast, too bad for us. He never even got a ticket, he claimed he was avoiding another caR, BUT THERE WAS no other car on the road. ~Katy Sheep to the right; His Lamb “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength" Isa 30:15 http://orchardhouseheirlooms.com/product_info.php/cPath/157_163/products_id/199 survival seeds Christian-homesteaders/ biblical survival -- Re: QVC well this is really going to get you LOL!! Guest guest
A few years ago my daughter was taking a medical class in which an assignment was to create a job application. She did not have her new computer yet, so she called me (from AZ to MN) and dictated to me, I typed it out, and faxed it to her. We had a good laugh when the sentence should have read, "Can administer medication by injection." I typed INFECTION !!! It served as a lesson to proofread along with using spell check.
