Guest guest
Hi, tell the people that say don't eat sprouts raw to get a life. I eat the following sprouts raw: alfalfa. broccoli, salad mixes. sunflower, peas, lentils, mung beans, soy, to name a few. I also often throw sprouts onto an omelet. I put mung beans in stir fry and in a meat loaf. I get a bean and rice soup mix from that makes a great soup using organic vegetable broth. Ask these people why eating raw sprouts is different than eating raw broccoli? About five years ago there was a big news story about people getting sick from alfalfa sprouts bought in a grocery store. They found out two things, the water in the hydroponics set up was not being changed often enough. And that employees were not always washing their hands after using the facilities. Since I grow my own I don't worry about what the commercial growers are doing. PS. I don't blend or juice any sprouts. ew sprouting water and chick peas Date: Tue, 25 Nov 2008 22:28:59 +0100 thanks, your answers really turned me off . I am not going to try to drink sprouting water. What about chick peas. I really love them, cooked and also raw. There are a lot of people who say you should always cook the sprouts. Do you eat them raw. Can you make them more digesteble through food preparation, blending or fermenting or something like this? Noel Sunshine makes the flowers dance. Anon. -- Be Yourself @ mail.com!
