Guest guest
THE most immediate and lasting cause of chronic stress is POOR BREATHING. In compiling statistics from over 50,000 FREE breathing tests (taken by REAL PEOPLE - not mice or any other kinds of animals) taken here: www.breathing.com/tests.htm we've learned that the top 5 " symptoms " that show up from poor breathing are, in this order: 1) Anxiety 2) Depression 3) Stress 4) Poor sleep 5) Overweight (your breathing controls your pH) People who exhibit these symptoms are, pretty much without exception, high chest breathers. I can sit and quietly watch someone for less than 5 minutes and tell you what kinds of health challenges they might have, based solely on their breathing and how they act. Unfortunately, poor breathing during the day translates into poor breathing at night... and this often leads to CPAP machines and congestive heart failure, if not addressed early enough. However, I HAVE seen my mentor work with people who are/were on CPAP machines or oxygen bottles and after a period of time - no way to tell how long... depends upon how diligently that person works to change 1) their beliefs about their body 2) their breathing habits 3) their diet. Yes, it DOES work in that order. We did some 20 minute presentations for teacher appreciation days in Charlotte, NC several years ago and made a HUGE change in quite a few teachers lives!! One poor lady was super stressed about being locked out of the building as she was on the way to our 20-minute session. After getting her calmed down long enough to concentrate on the session we did with HER, she was so dramatically changed that she ran yelling into the hall and dragged every teacher she could find in for the next sessions!! 2 months later we had occasion to go back to that same school to pick up assessment forms from our workshops. When she saw us in the teacher lounge and about tackled me with a big HUG, thanking us profusely for literally saving her life and her job! THAT'S why I teach Optimal Breathing Development.
