Guest guest
My husband has it,-- ickey, and it itches. A friend had it all over including in her ears and she was delivered from it I know you folks here don't want to hear this but hers is gone due to extensive prayer. My husband went away briefly, he was on a regimen or steroids, stretching his spine [he has an old spine injury] shots in his spine, etc, then some kid came by as my husband was turning onto a driveway hit him and now DH has a new injury, and the Psoriasis came right back. Since it comes from the inside all the creams and lotions he uses do nothing for him.. Oh wait, one other time his Psoriasis went away, when he ate vegetables. He's back on a diet of meat, potatoes and junk food. Way too much fried foods. I have it, and am wondering if anyone here in HAWK-land have any personal experience with it. I've done all the reading, spoken with my doctor, know all I can about it. But I am looking to hear from people that actually deal with it. Experiences, tips, ideas. That sort of thing. I have two major hot spots on my left shin and calf, covering a large portion of the area, a silver dollar sixed spot on my right thigh, and several small dime sized spots scattered on my arms and legs. The large ones are in remission now, but the smaller ones are raging. The doctor perscribed me some sort of ointment that did nothing. The over the counter cortozone cream worked better that that. Anyway, if anyone hasx any input, I'd appreciate it!! Peace, love, laughter Our family website:http://sites.google.com/site/notonlyybarras/homeQuestions of truth do not enter into social issues. Guest guest
I've heard that a more veggie diet can help, and I lean that way anyway. It's an immune system condition, the stronger your immune system, the more likely you are to have outbreaks. Big Pharm treats it by supressing the immune system. I am NOT going that route. Though we do use the " other " method you mentioned..... Peace, love, laughter Our family website:http://sites.google.com/site/notonlyybarras/homeQuestions of truth do not enter into social issues. Guest guest
I'm borderline. I eat mostly fruit, veggies, grains and nuts. Unfortuantely I am allergic to sea food, so I can't eat fish. I eat beef maybe once a month, chicken a couple of times, pork only once in a while. I don't drink milk, but love cheese. Eggs maybe every other week. Guest guest
I eat lots of eggs, they are good food, much better than [ugh] red meats, which btw Pork is one of, they say it's a white meat because all the fat in it makes it look white. That is just more MadAve prevarication [Lying]. Eggs got the bad rap when the fake science of "too much cholesterol" was invented to sell statins. Eggs are not high in cholesterol, they are high in Lecithin which are good to hold down triglycerides and the "bad" cholesterol, but the egg industry didn't have as much $$ as the beef and Pork lobbies. Sorry for the rant, it just makes me mad . Guest guest
My husband has had it for over 35 years and has been told numerous times it is a "dirty liver". Hubby is not willing to do all the rigamarole to go through cleansing his liver so he lives with it. HOWEVER, when he gave up meat 20 years ago and most dairy, it stopped spreading. And I agree, no amount of creams, salves, or shots will relieve it. His pops up like Kathy's husband, with stress it gets redder and more active (itchy). Guest guest
I could spend a few days doing a liver cleanse. Wouldn't hurt either way.  Stress, yeah, I can see that. It's been a stressfull time, but a great time.  It's so strange, though. The three major areas are in recession, I just have half a dozen small new breakouts. Interesting.....
