Well, eliminating most uses of sugar also helps, especially processed

sugar. Which means every sugar except sugar cane, sugar beets, stevia

and maybe locally produced honey.

The main culprit are carbs, which sugar is. Most processed foods are

also bad for any form of diabetes.

Not all fruit is created equal either. Apples are better for a diabetic,

than oranges for instance. However, if you produce the oranges at home.

They may be better for you than store bought apples.

I don't do sugar- no packaged foods-NONE! but I do eat Detroit red beets, raw because of their health benefits, I don't trust Stevia; yet, I eat raw honey, but not that much. My Blood sugar is under control.
