Arteriosclerosis is a disease which refers to the accumulation of excess of bad

cholesterol and other debris in the blood stream. Arteries of our body carry

blood to many organs of our body. Arteriosclerosis causes the tissues of the

arterial walls to thick and hence the blood supply to major organs of the body

like the kidney, brain is stopped.
