Guest guest
Remember that pain is only a symptom and it's warning you that something is wrong. The best to do is to consult a doctor and once you have the diagnosis look for a natural way to heal yourself. You don't need to get into invasive tests, but at least to have some idea what's causing the pain. Guest guest
Mine is becoming enlarged, no pain just a smallish lump like half of a golf ball on my Xithroid process. I can actually grab it thru' my clothes and skin, but it has a smooth roundish feel I know that means it is NOT cancer. I hope you don't have something getting much worse there, Sally. Have you tried checking it online? Soreness also extends into the lower rib on both sides. It's been like this for a very long time and does not seem to be getting any better.I really don't want to go to a doctor and get tests if it's nothing to worry about. I've read on google that's it's a cartilage but don't know what the inflammation of it could mean. I'm now having pain in my back in about the same area. Don't know if there is any connection.Appreciate any thoughts,Sally
Guest guest
Do you have any activity that might cause pain there? Are you a softball catcher or do you sleep on your tummy? Just tossing out ideas, maybe you had a slight dislocation, when we were doing CPRE training we were told to be very careful we don;'t break the Xithroid process as it is very painful. Guest guest
Smooth and round or roundish means nothing. It could be an encapsulated cancerous tumor. Me left testicle had to be removed because of that. Believe me, I had absolutely no symptoms it was cancerous. It was also roundish, as it should have been. An Ultra Scan found the cancerous tumor by accident, while trying to find out why my urine had a high proteinurea count or high protein in the urine. They finally figured out why it was happening and figured I was born like that. Always did have kidney problems. Now, why check the sack down there? It was just a part of the Ultra Scan testing procedure. So don't believe anyone that says smooth and round, means no cancer. I was just lucky it was found, before it had spread! Guest guest
Thanks to all the replies. Yes, I have been googling and reading much there. It seems that many, many have this problem and this makes me feel that it is more common than I thought. But also reading how some have had every test imaginable and nothing was found deters me from going that route. No, I have not done anything physically that could have injured it. But I did read in my searching that there are many , if these muscles are no longer toned and holding their own it might cause a burden on this xiphoid bone that would then cause inflammation and pain. I have also lost some height, about 2 " with collapse of vertebrae and am thinking that the extra space around this area could also be affecting it. I think that working on muscle strengthening and inflammation in the body might help for now before handing myself over to the docs. Might try castor oil packs topically too.
