Guest guest
> > Well, I am finally getting some pain relief. I can't believe that since noon hour today the burning pain in my SI joints area is down to a whisper. I wish I had been on Neurontin ages ago.. +Dave Good to hear..Neurontin has been a staple of mine for almost 8 years and I'm on the same dose (2400mg)..You'll get a little dry mouth and for some reason if you should happen to take just a little too much over a 12-24 hr period the only side effect I notice is " slurring of words " . And if you read the instructions it will state that if you overdose slightly, you'll possibly experience 'slurring of words..' That admidedly opens up a Pandora's box of humorous and not so humorous possibilities...At any rate, I'm glad you found some well- deserved relief....Jeff L. Guest guest
Thanks Jeff I found out one thing yesterday that will probably cause my doctors some grief. As you know those of us on OxyContin get constipation badly. Yesterday was one of those days. When I sat up straight on the toilet for about 5 minutes, my legs go tingly then numb which probably means the bony growth in my SI Joints and lumbar spine are very close to the nerve roots. My doctors will love this one. +Dave

That way I get a trough value and not a peak. My symptoms appear levels fall below a certain point so that is most relevant for me. Since your guy thinks 325ng/dl is " all set " , I wouldn't particularly want to go in with a " high " peak anyway. Brad
Guest guest
Start with 200mgs for your first shot to jump start yourself then do 100mgs every week do a test in 6 weeks test on the day of your next shot but do it before the shot. Guest guest
First I would be upfront with your Doc and tell them you want to do weekly shots. When you go back to test, your value will reflect what you are doing and if they don't trust you, they will not work with you. I would tell them that based on your research, an appropriate beginning dose would be 100 mg every 7 days. Try this for 4-6 weeks and get tested on the day your shot is due (tells you how low you go at the end of the cycle). For me, I peak in about 3 days so I shoot on Thursday so I am at my peak for the weekend - just my choice. You also need to discuss E2 management with arimidex. If you are going to do shots, chances are you will need arimidex. Guest guest
As predicted, the prescription is for 2 week intervals. I'm happy to discuss when I meet with my dr. tomorrow, but the biggest question I have is... The prescription is for Depotestosterone and I have always heard Cypionate is the way to go. Can some clarify the difference? My dr. appt is on Wednesday (tomorrow) so I hope someone will have the time to reply this evening. thanks. > after 10 years of suffering w/ borderline low T....I think I'm > finally there....started Androgel 5mgs about 2 months back > after 4 weeks on that tested and no movement. Guest guest
Thank you. I think Cyp is the generic term and Depo is brand name. Finally think I'm about to get back to where i belong - feeling good. Only taken 10 years and 4 doctors. I owe plenty to this group for helping me realize I wasn't imagining things, when i told myslef things just weren't right. The internet is an amazing thing, without it, I would have taken my first doctors diagnosis of " all ok " and figured this was how I was supposed to feel. Guest guest
Ok received my first shot of 200mg Test Cyp today. Excited we're trying something. For most folks - what is the estimated T levels experienced with this dose? I mentioned to my endo goign with 100mg 1x a week and he wasn';t averse but said lets see how I do on every 2 weeks with 200mg. Seemed to think probs started at 3weeks. I didnt push him on it - prefer 1 battle at a time Also, been having the symptoms for about 10 years and understand that loss of libido may be the last symptom to go away. What has been most folks experience? How long do I have to wait? > > > after 10 years of suffering w/ borderline low T....I > > think I'm > > > finally there....started Androgel 5mgs about 2 months back > > > after 4 weeks on that tested and no movement. Guest guest
I also had a 200 mg, shot today of Test Cyp. 4 weeks ago shot, on Day 7, I had a Total T of 790 and Day 14 had a total T of 280 (baseline is about 330 on 400-1000 scale). However, 2 weeks ago shots, on Day 7, I had a Total T of 460 and Day 14 had a total T of 350. Weird. Two shots, same place, same doctor, different results. In the weeks of big gains and drops, I felt it -especially on the down slope -days 10 to 14 -moody, sad, anxious, unsettled, tired. Here's my experience: Day 1-3, not much change; Day 3-8, feeling of well-being, better sleep, no aching joints or back; Day 10-14, return of symptoms (why 100 mgs. per week is suggested). Unfortunately, I did not feel any changes in libido or nighttime/morning erection on this amount of T - ever, which is concerning, too. My endo. is totally confused by the 400's this past 2 weeks. After Testim, Angrogel, Testoderm, T Enth and T Cyp, if this doesn't work, we are trying Clomid next. Hope this helps. Guest guest
Make sure you test your Estradiol if this is to high your morning wood will not happen and your libido will die. Guest guest
Ok on the 2nd. day your levels can go up to 1400 then slowly start going down in the next 6 - 7 days by your next shot your levels will be about 400. This is why shots every 2 weeks are bad doing 200mgs all at once will spick why up converting a lot of it into Estradiol. High Estradiol will make you feel bad and kill your sex drive give you ED and may it hard to reach an orgasm. Here is a link to the AACE Guildlines I think it's on page 11 it states to do shots every 7 to 10 days to keep you off this roller coaster ride. http://www.aace.com/pub/pdf/guidelines/hypogonadism.pdf In this link is charts on the different types of TRT read the chart on doing a 200mg shot. http://forum.mesomorphosis.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=6413 & d=1139879356 Phil wondering2one <hopefully1000@...> wrote: Ok received my first shot of 200mg Test Cyp today. Guest guest
Hi Leon, Well you wont' get it all in 1 month. And you won't getit ALLin one year. In fact most NEVER get it ALL! Everyone is continually learning. But you should get the basics down in one month. Of course much depends upon your learning style and their teaching methods. Perhaps this experience will 'sell you' on the idea of vocational schools or pharm tech programs to teach in a mock lab setting and classroom setting what one will encounter and how to deal with it. There actually is no way to prepare for the chaos or insurance adjudication problems. Hope this helps you to cope, Jeanetta Mastron CPhT BS Founder/Owner > > I finally got a call to work after 2.5wks.
