Tell her to check with St. Luke's, Research Hosp or KU Med - at one

time, all those hospitals had certified nurse midwives and a doula

or two on staff. There was also an office at 177th & Nall that

had certified nurse midwives on staff that were available for home

births.

Sorry, that should read "117th & Nall" and NOT 177th &

Nall. 117th & Nall is right in the heart of "medical clinic"

territory, allopathic and others. 177th is probably still out in

the sticks :-)
