I have 5 LED light fixtures for plants, they are a purple colored light. Mine were $25.00 each retail, They need to be right down close to the plants. It's not close to what sunlight is or halide; which is very expensive to run.

 Know anything about LED lighting? We bought a bulb for our front porch at the homeshow and talked with the reps, but we didn't talk safety because what could they say except it's safe!

Haven't heard or read anything about LED safety. It's pricey but is suppose to last a long time, but.....................
