Guest guest
Hi Michele! I'll leave it to the experts here to better analyze the pic of your son's head...but, I do see some of the characteristics of plagio there...how is your son's neck? Any noticeable tilt? Can he look both ways without a problem? Have you discussed any of this with your pediatrician? The GREAT news is that your son is so young...now is definitely the time to address it! My son is almost 9 months old and just got into his DOCband. We're hoping for some correction, but doubt we'll see 100% correction. , Mom to Grant (born 9/26/01)
Guest guest
Yep, looks like plagiocephaly. I can't tell what to what degree it is. But, his age is perfect for a headband. You'll see great results. Have you tried checking with medicare? I'm sure there's some type of financial aid out there that can help you with this. Good luck. , 's mom Andersen --- iammichelle <iammichelle@...> wrote: > Hey everyone, I'm so glad I found you! Guest guest
Hi and welcome. I definitely don't think Logan's head looks severe. You should check out the repositioning tips at www.plagiocephaly.org/support. At 4 1/2 months you could get some really good correction using just repositioning and if he has tort also some physical therapy. The DOCband is very expensive, but is an excellent product. You might check around and see if you can find a STARband maker or locally made helmet maker if you decide to go that route. Those products will be much cheaper then the DOCband. The helmet my daughter wore cost a total of $700 for the casting, fitting and all adjustments. Best wishes to you and Logan and please let us know whenever you have questions!
