Monday evening workout

DH and oldest DS went out shopping this evening so I took advantage of some free time to try out some of my new Caribbean workouts. I did two workouts from the Pilates DVD. I did Focus on Abdominal and Focus on Stretching. I really liked both 20 minute workouts. The ab work in Super Sculpting this morning was really short so it was nice to do the Pilates ab work to make up for it. Lots of core, back and oblique strengthening moves. The Focus on stretching was a combination of Pilates with some yoga moves like Pigeon (my personal favorite move) and some lunges. They also did some nice leg work stressing the back and outer thighs.

It's funny - I purchased two other DVD sets of Caribbean workouts and didn't much care for them (Aerobics and Pilates/ab), but the Kickboxing/Cardio & Pilates DVD's are really making a hit with me. They were a great deal at Ross.
