Guest guest
CT is who we're using for my daughter and they are out of network. However, I was just informed that my insurance, BCBS of Oregon will be paying 100% under "durable medical equipment" on my policy up to the maximum allowable amount....waiting to here how much that is. Does your insurance certificate have a "durable medical equipment" section? If so, check that out. Also, ask what circumstances justify them paying 100% of the treatment since the policy states that they "may" pay 100% if referred by an in-network physician. The insurance companies are such jerks. They just want to inconvenience us so we won't question their decisions. My insurance is paying because I appealed their denial. I hoped this helped a little. Good luck. , 's mom-Southern California Baracus4@... wrote: Yes, another insurance question. Are you guys tired of me yet? )United Healthcare is telling me because CT is out of network, they will only cover 70%. My actual certificate of insurance states that we MAY be eligible for in-network coverage if the referring doc is in network, which he is. CT is the only place in my area who fits these bands (I think). Do any of you have experience with 1.) having ONLY an out-of-network service provider and 2.) people on the phone telling you things that are different than your actual insurance certificate? We haven't even begun treatment and I am already beginning to understand what all of you are going through. Guest guest
Kerri, UHC CAN authorize the CT clinic as in-network especially if there is no one else in your area that does bands. UHC authorized our band and visit to the specialist as in-network (even though they weren't) because there is no one else in our area that treats plagio. And yes, I was told all sorts of crazy things by the insurance people. Many of those things were very contradictory.
