Wow - two pieces of good news for you!

It's great that your insurance co is going to pay - what a relief! Congrats

also on the new/old job - that school must have thought very highly of you.

Yeah !!! This is great news! It sounds like coming back to Dallas has

been good for you in every way (not that this is why insurance is paying,

but you know what I mean). Count me in for lunch - maybe we can catch some

of those good insurance vibes from you. Do you want to have lunch on a day

that you are coming to CT anyway? I can't remember where you moved - south

of Fort Worth? There are lots of good places to eat within a few minutes of

CT, and it's a fairly central location anyway. Wednesdays are not as good

for me - my 2 year old has ballet in Frisco until 11:00 - unless we had

lunch at noon or later.

Again, congrats on everything - insurance, casting, new job, etc.

Wow- now that's alot of hair! The casting experience sounds very typical- did ok until they sat him up, and then he was inconsolable. It was heartbreaking. But, after seeing him get IV's and blood work done at 2 months old (poor kid was poked about 6 times! Awful experience!), it was probably a little easier and over much quicker. The fitting should be much less eventful! I think the shampoo everyone talked about was Loreal's Lavendar or something. I'm sure others will help there. We always used s (can't remember exactly, but it did have a scent) and just put it on at the start of the bath and let it sit while we bathed him, never had any problems with smell in his hair (of course, we tried to stay indoors for that 3 months as much as possible!). Thanks for responding! Good luck- let us know how the fitting goes!

Oh sorry Mackenna was less than thrilled whit the casting process:-( SO

hard for mommy but forgotten so quickly by the little ones. Am eager to hear

how she adjusts to the band-use lorela kids shampoo in all the yummy flavors

put lots on at the beginning of the bath and let it soak the whole time she

is in the tub rinse right before she gets out. Also clean the band with

alcohol nightly and don't forget she will be quite sweaty in the start so no

socks or shoes light clothing stay in the AC and keep a fan on and wipe that

head regularly. I used to let the lavender wash soak on 's head it was

very strong and worked well too. Oh got to go baby is crying!

Hi . Thank you for asking. I am so sorry it took me so long to reply. I have not been during very well at checking my emails. Still trying to get settled into the house. The casting went ok, at least it is over. Luckily it didn't take long. McKenna was screaming and got so mad her body was shaking. She always has such a good disposition. Never fusses unless she is hungry, and that is not much. It was really a shock to see her like that. But it will be worth it. We get the band tomorrow. Hopefully that will be a much less painful experience. We shall see. Also I remember way back you all talking about a shampoo to use for the smell. What was it? I know we will need it. At 8 months I have already trimmed her bangs twice and she has had 2 professional haircuts. The girl has a lot of hair. I will have to send pictures one of these days. and McKenna (we get the DOC Band tomorrow) Re: First Health paid ,Great news that you'll be getting some coverage, hopefully 100%! How did the casting go yesterday?' MomFor more plagio info

Gail, So sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Not checking my emails as much with everything going on. So far we are going to CT on Wednesdays. I don't know if that will change once we get the helmet tomorrow or not. I will only be going to CT 2 more times after tomorrow since I will be going back to work. My mom will be taking her after that. God Bless Moms. Hopefully we can work something out. I can meet in the afternoons. I do not have to rush back. My mom keeps Riley for me on those days. Again God Bless Moms. I will let you know after our appointment tomorrow what our schedule with CT looks like. Hopefully we can get Trisha and anyone else in the area together too. and McKenna (we get the DOC Band tomorrow) First Health paid> Well my husband got a call today that First Health approved the DOC> Band. I'm glad you are settling in and it's great to hear that the casting is over

and the band will be in place tomorrow. I'm sure that McKenna will do great!

The shampoo is L'oreal Kids Shampoo and they make all sorts of great smells.

The watermelon is what we used on when she was in the helmet, but they

have one out now called Strawberry Smoothie that is AWESOME!

Best of luck and let us know how it goes!

Also, if you are unable to find the Loreal Kids Shampoo...'s is now making smelly kids shampoos w/ the no tear formula. We've been using the purple one (berry explosion or something like that? LOL!) and my sensitive skin/eyes baby has been doing great with it.
