Guest guest
Kia, I would say to leave it at the hotel while on the beach. I think the sand and salt water could be pretty harsh on the band. You might give your ortho a call and see what he/she says. Have fun - sounds like a great vacation! Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
Guest guest
We, too, are going to the beach for the 4th of July. Decisions, decisions, decisions. This is what I decided to do...The parade is mid-morning, so it shouldn't be too hot, yet. I'm going to keep the helmets on if it's not too hot. We'll be in the driveway watching the parade right on the ocean, so I think the breeze should keep them cool. We are going to be at the picnic for hours (right across the street), so I may take the helmets off then when it gets hot. Lilly's going to want her brothers with her. As far as going on the boat. I'm declining. Scared to death the helmets will get wet and I've been advised by at CT not to get the helmets wet. Everyone else can go and I'll spend some time with my boys, one on two. We will go on a long walk and have a lot of fun. My mother-in-law bought a plastic pool for the kids, so I'll probably take their helmets off then, so we all can have some fun. Instead of bathing them that night, I'll put some soap in the pool, after we are done playing and bathe them then. Since my boys sweat profusely, recommended Zeabos powder. It seems to help. I use it once a day, in the morning, helps with the all day sweating. Bonnie (mom to , Winn & Lilly)
Guest guest
Gail, I already have a glitch in my plan and we've got a week to go. LOL I forgot about the sunscreen factor. Oops!!!!! Guest guest
Bonnie, you are so funny, and once again, you remind me of me. We have "pool baths" all the time during the summer. I don't like the smell of sunscreen left on all day, so I tend to scrub it off in the pool just before going back inside. Have a good holiday.
