Guest guest
For example, my husband likes when I dip the broccoli in egg beaters, then dip in breadcrumbs, and then I put a little bit of canola oil in the frying pan and I keep turning the broccoli until it is evenly cooked. Takes about 20 minutes or so. I was just thinking (actually I just did this after I thought about it). I had a whole bunch of organic sprouted lentils in my refrigeraor. The batch was ready last night. So I rinsed, drained, and put them in fridge. So this morning I had nice, dry organic lentils. I said " why not grind them up and add them to my breadcrumbs, along with my fresh parsley, and minsed onion? So I did this. I dipped the broccoli in my egg substitute (or I can use egg whites or eggs for that matter). Then I dipped them in the organic lentil/bread crumb mixture. I just finished cooking them on the stove. My kitchen smells lovely. so I was wondering. What if I left out the bread crumbs? I'm diabetic and I watch all my carbs. Since sprouted lentils are low-glycemic because they are complex carbs (at least this is what I've been told), then I have come to the logical conclusion that I don't have to use breadcrumbs for any of my recipes. I can grind up whatever sprouts I have in my fridge and I can use this instead? Can I? Much appreciated. Melody
