Picture's of Ciara's Head

Here's pictures of Ciara's head shape. LONG AND NARROW. She was triplet C and born at 29 weeks at 1 pound 10 ounces. Typical "Preemie head". Born 8-1-00 She is now 22 months. She still has a soft spot. So we are hoping it's not too late.Anyone have children with a head shape like this?LoraFor more plagio info

Hi Lora,

Did you say you had seen a specialist? If so, did he/she mention

scaphycephaly? The long narrow shape of Ciara's head seems indicative of

scaphy. This can be a form of plagiocephaly, but can also be the look of

craniosynostosis. I certainly don't want to alarm you, but if your specialist

did not discuss the possibility of cranio you might want to discuss it with

him/her. If you haven't seen a specialist it would probably be a good idea -

pediatric neuro, cranial-facial specialist, pediatric plastic surgeon -

someone like that. 3D-CT scans or sometimes x-rays can help to determine

whether the condition is truly plagio or the more serious condition of cranio.

I love Ciara's hair color - I would LOVE to see a picture of all three of

your triplets. I can't imagine how insanely busy you must be! Do you just

have the triplets or do you have others as well?

Best wishes to you and keep us posted.
