Just thought I would add that I talked to my

daughter's ped about getting a referral to a second

opinion neurosurgeon. The first one that she had

referred me to was awful (but part of the provider's

group). The ped was incredibly resistant, but I told

her that if she didn't give me the referral that I

wanted, I would have no choice but to change to a new

ped. I think she realized that I was determined and

within 4 hours, she had the referral and insurance

approval for the 2nd opinion.
