Guest guest
Christi, HOORAY!!!! I'm so glad to hear that Tricare paid - this is a MAJOR deal. First time I've ever heard of Tricare paying for a band. I understand how torn you must feel about a second band. I think you are wise to wait and see what the specialist suggests. You will know what to do after the appointment. Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
Guest guest
Hi Christi That's great news that they are going to pay finally. About the second band my son Dylan is in his second DOCband and i was told that Dylan was a question mark over a third!! This is because obviously growth spurts have slowed down, Dylan is 16months now and started at 8 months he went into the second band at 1 year. I have seen correction with the second band on his forehead where he has the bossing and i believe his ears have shifted back more into alignment - they are not symmetrical but loads better than they were. I do sympathize with you i am the same cannot wait for Dylan to come out of the band but if he is going to get more correction then we will carry on with the band. Hope this helps some. Guest guest
Marci Yes we are very excited. We feel like this is a big step forward. The Charlotte CT says Tricare has never paid them before. So we are so glad that maybe they will pay for other people in the future. christi > Christi, > > HOORAY!!!! Guest guest
Kerry Yes thanks it does help. We seem to be on the same time line as far as when your son started his band. Mya got her band at 9 months and if she needs a second one she will get it around 13 months. I want to do whats best for her so I will just have to hear what the doc suggests and go from there. I just have wishful thinking that he will say oh shes perfect no need for a second band but honestly in my heart I know he will probably suggest another one because of her ears for one and for two she still has some flattening on her right side. Sooooo I am just patiently or maybe not so patiently awaiting the appt on July 11. Thanks for the help Christi > Hi Christi > > That's great news that they are going to pay finally. Guest guest
Hi Christi Let us know how your appointment goes. I am going into see the OT tomorrow as Dylan as started taking the band off. He grins at me when hes done it!! The OT said they can lengthen the velcro strap and make it harder for Dylan it reach. So fingers crossed that works. Guest guest
Christi, I am glad to hear that Tricare paid for the DOC band. We are currently battling them to pay for my son's helmet and wondering if you have any suggestions for me. Did you purchase the band first and then receive reimbursement later? Thanks so much for any help you can provide. Stacey > > Christi, > > > > HOORAY!!!!
