Guest guest
- Welcome to the group. Have you tried repositioning? You can get some good tips at plaigocephaly.org/support. Our son was casted at about the same age as Logan. He wore the band for 12 weeks and looks fantastic. Does PA have insurance for uninsured children? Here kids w/o health insurance can get it for free. Maybe that is something to look into. If you are near a Cranial Tech, I would suggest going for a free consult (most of them offer them for free). Then if you choose to band, you can shop around since you will be covering the costs yourself. If you are near Philly, maybe you can go see Niki's ortho. She has nothing but praise for him > Hey everyone, I'm so glad I found you! My husband and I are pretty sure > our son Logan has torticollis and positional plagiocephaly. Guest guest
Hi , and welcome to the group! Whereabouts is Lafayette Hill, is out by Conshohoken? I live in Philadelphia, so I don't think I am too far from you! I can definitely see some flatness on Logan's head. I am really bad at determining whether its mild, moderate or severe. But I really don't think it would fall into the severe catergory. The good thing is that Logan is still so young. You could very well see some excellent correction with repositioning alone. If you go to the 'Bookmark' section of the plagio homepage, there is folder dedicated to repositioning. In there you will find tips and products to aid you in repositioning Logan. If you ever do decide that Logan needs a band, I would be more than happy to give you the name of my ortho!! I am sure that our one moderator will chime in here and give you some great tips and stretches regarding his tort. Good luck to you , and please keep us posted! Guest guest
- If Logan does have tort, you would probably qualify for Early Intervention (EI) which would provide him with physical therapy. I'm sure someone else on here has used EI. Maybe they can help you on how to get started. Dane's mom DOC Grad > Hey everyone, I'm so glad I found you!
